Corndogorama

We're going to be playing the opening night of Corndogorama this year. There are several other bands playing with us as well, including our good friends Thee Crucials. Check out the full line up for the festival here. You can buy advance tickets from Ticket Atlernative. Part Two of the AEW's Punk Rock Summer is on Thursday night, June 5. AEW are coming to Smith's Olde Bar with The Vaginas, The Luchagors (featuring Amy Dumas, Lita from the WWE) and Courtesy Murder. This is going to be one hell of a show. If you've never seen the bands we're sharing the bill with, do yourself a favor and check out some of the best bands the ATL Punk scene has to offer. AEW will be hitting the stage third. Also, Smith's is running some drink specials especially for our fans: $4 24oz. Red Stripes and $2 Jager "Shorties" (whatever that is). Hey everyone. Quick update about the Summer of AEW! We're kickin' it off right on May 19 at Lenny's. ATL Punks presents The Murder Junkies (G.G. Allin's band) with AEW, Rev. God & The Jesus Squad, O.G.W.S.V. and a surreal piercing performance by Prentice Suspensions. It's sure to be a punk rock extravaganza you won't want to miss. 21 + $8 cover. This is an early show so get there around 8 PM to catch all the action... See you there!

BaconFest is back and it's shaping up to be more bacon-ee than ever before! So, if you like the sound of a sizzlin' skillet, and the feel of a frosty mug in your hand (because you can't have bacon without beer) - then join us on Saturday, March 29th from 2-7pm.

BaconFest is our annual fundraiser (yep, Dad's Garage is a Non-Profit company), but there won't be any black ties or ball gowns here, just a whole bunch of bacon and fun! In fact, we'll be cooking up a whole bunch of festivities - including bodacious bands, greasy games, porky prizes, a succulent silent auction, and to top it all off - Samurai Davis Jr. and Dim Sum's Super Mega Happy Fun Time Improv Show from 6-7pm. So, come on out, and help Dad's Garage bring home the bacon while you eat it!

Spring Forward News Update

Hi everyone! Phoebe here with your semi-regular AEW update... First, our condolences to the family of Mr. Myron Cope, inventor of the Pittsburgh Steelers Terrible Towel. Mr. Cope passed away recently and he will be fondly remembered by both Attractive Eighties Women and members of the Steeler Nation. As some of you may remember, my personal Terrible Towel was ruined during our ill fated CD release party. After seeing my open letter, the Steelers front office sent me three new terrible towels for free! Some of you may have seen their debut at our Criminal Records show. I've made some updates to the website, including the shows and photos sections. Also, I've added a press page, where you can keep up with AEW in the news. We'll be posting links here to articles about us, as well as live show and album reviews. Be sure and pick up this month's issues of Southeast Performer and PRICK Magazine as both feature Attractive Eighties Women! March will be a slow month for Attractive Eighties Women. We're all taking some time to chill out and we'll be back in action on March 29 at Dad's Garage for BACONFEST '08! Soon after that, we'll be hitting the studio to record some demos of our new material. 2008 is going to be a great year for AEW, so stay tuned! xoxo Phoebe

Attractive Eighties Women will be performing "Murder Kroger" live on FOX 5's morning show this Friday (February 1)! We don't know what time exactly... just that it will be some time between 7AM-9AM, so set your TiVo's, VCRs, etc! We know none of our fans are awake that early. AEW on TV! Feel the excitement! Trances Arc and Gringo Star will also be playing.

CD Release Replay

Ever since our bloody, injury-shortened CD release party at the EARL, there's been one question on everyone's lips... When will AEW make their triumphant return to the stage?! Well, after a couple of warm up shows out of town, we're finally ready! February 9, at Criminal Records, Attractive Eighties Women will be playing a FREE show for all our fans who were shortchanged by some crazy drunk girl. Everyone is invited to come join the fun around 8 PM. We'll be grilling some hot dogs, and there will definitely be FREE beer (keg or cans TBD). We're pulling out all the stops for this one, so expect antics galore!

Midnight in the Garden of Rock n' Roll

AEW is hitting the road this weekend, with our good friends Trophy Wives. We're heading to Savannah, GA for our first ever show at The Jinx. If you're in the Savannah area, we look forward to seeing you Friday night! For those of you who can't make it to Savannah, you can still get a little taste of AEW online. I will be doing an interview on SCAD Radio, Friday at 8 PM. "What's SCAD Radio?" you say.

SCAD Radio is operated entirely by students at the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Ga. The station's programming is designed to represent the diversity and creativity of the SCAD student body.
