Summertime... and the livin' is easy. We rocked the Star Bar this weekend. Check out some pictures at your friendly neighborhood flickr. Also, Southeast Performer magazine has a great profile of us in their July issue. Check it out here. So what else is new with the 80's ladies? TONS!

First up, July 19 at the EARL - Support Our Poops! Featuring AEW, Fox Trotsky, Three Dog Stevens, and Insane-O-Flex. I personally selected all these bands to play with us, so there is no excuse not to come check it out! I give you my 100% guarantee that it will kick 10 kinds of ass.

Next up... August! We'll be playing at Lenny's on the 18th with They Shoot Horses Don't They?, but more importantly, we'll be recording our soon-to-be-multi-platinum debut album later in the month. Stay tuned for more info on that!

Finally, check out this email we got...
Hey guys-

I don't know you personally, but I've been to a few of your shows (good stuff). I ended up having to get a mammogram a few days ago (14 years earlier than expected). As my boobs were going through Mr. Toad's wild ride what kept me from staying in constant panic was playing your song in my head: Mama Get a Mammogram. I hope it doesn't seem silly, but thank you for writing such a fun song. It really helps me out in times of worry.

Thank you thank you thank you!

Jules

How's that for AEWSOME?! Luckily, everything turned out great for Jules. However, it doesn't always turn out so great for other women. AEW will be having its 3rd Annual "Fuck Breast Cancer!" fundraiser this fall at the Star Bar. All proceeds will go to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. More details to be announced soon! Until then, see you at the rock show.

Hey everyone! Support Our Poops was a tremendous success. Special thanks to Patrick and all of the EARL staff, Insane-O-Flex, Three Dog Stevens and Fox Trotsky! You can check out pictures here, here and here.

In other AEW news, Kelly LeBrock has decided to lay down her drumsticks and pursue her dreams elsewhere. She will be leaving some time in September and we will miss her greatly. What does this mean for the rest of the 80's ladies? Well, we're looking for a drummer! Are you a drummer? Do you know any drummers? If so, let us know.

Oh yeah! Kelly will be sticking with us through our current commitments, so our show at Lenny's on August 18th is still a GO! We're playing with They Shoot Horses, Don't They?.

xoxo
Phoebe
